Warner Succumbs at Home of Son Saturday Morgan B. Warner, 68 years, 3 months, and 26 days, died at the home of his son, Ocie Warner, in Winnfield Saturday, October 27, 1943, at 1:15 a.m. Funeral services were conducted at the home at 3:30 o'clock Sunday with the Rev. Alwin Stokes officiating. Burial followed in the Transport Cemetery north of Dodson. Active pallbearers were Claud Melton, A. L. Sikes, W. E. Long, Jr., T. T. Booth, Bryant Sholars, and D. L. Hoffman. Honorary pallbearers were Walter W. Allen, John Bell, L. F. Morrison, John Emerson, Joe Emerson, C. F. Walsworth, Hugh Mercer, Jim Long, Albert Kimball, Max Thieme, and E. J. Byrnes. Mr. Warner came to Winnfield from Texas five years ago. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Carlyle, Texas. Surviving are six children, two daughters and four sons: Mrs. Thelma Lawson and Mrs. Elmer Neagher of Yazoo, Miss.; and J. B. Warner, in service, stationed in England; one sister, Mrs. N. C. Greer of Tannehill; three brothers, J. R. Warner, Winnfield; George Warner, Oak Grove; Edd Warner, Jonesville; two half-sisters, Mrs. D. M. Parson, Monroe, and Mrs. T. E. Banks, West Monroe; and one half brother, John Warner, Hudson.
