All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: August 1, 1952 Winn Parish Enterprise Funeral Conducted For Mrs. Watkins Monday Afternoon Rites Are Held At Siloam Church For Prominent Citizen Funeral services were held at Siloam Springs Methodist Church Monday afternoon for Mrs. Rosie Lee Haigler Watkins, who died in a Hodge clinic after a lengthy illness. Rites were conducted by the Rev. Troy Garrett, pastor of the Siloam Church of Chatham and the Rev. W. O. Lynch, pastor of the Jonesboro Methodist Church, and interment was in the Siloam Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Mrs. Watkins was the mother of nine living children, the eldest of whom is Mrs. Lucy M. Brady of Pensacola, Fla. Others include Mrs. Ethel Hawthorne of Jonesboro, Herschel, Lee, Bob, and Raymond Watkins of Wyatt, and Harry Watkins of Jonesboro, and Lyman and Mary Ella Watkins of Wyatt. Stepchildren include Mrs. Ada Pullen of Wyatt, Mrs. Polly Robinson of Jonesboro, and Homer Watkins of Wyatt. Survivors also include 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Gordia Haigler, Dodson; three sisters, Mrs. Beulah Jordan, Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Essie Faith and Mrs. Tommie Stovall of Dodson.
