J. R. Waters To Be Buried Friday At New Hope

Final rites for James Russell Waters, 75, native of the Hudson community, who
died in a Winnfield hospital at 3 a.m. Thursday, August 18, 1955, will be held
at 10 a.m. Friday at the New Hope Church, with the Rev. H. W. Buchanan,
Nazarene minister, officiating.  Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery under the
direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Pallbearers named were Clayton White, Clyde Berry, Billy Johnston, Shorty
Bain, Marvin Berry, and Huey P. Berry.

Mr. Waters was a retired farmer and a member of the Hudson Nazarene Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nellie White Waters; two sons, J. L. "Shorty"
Waters, of Winnfield, and T. L. of Shreveport; two grandchildren, five great
grandchildren; four nieces and one nephew.
