Two Deaths Claim Father, Brother of Dodson Residents

R. R. Hightower, 81, of Ruston, father of K. C. Hightower of Dodson, died at
his home Wednesday, April 3.

He was married 62 years ago to Miss Mollie Jane Heard, sister to Bill Heard of
Winnfield.  His widow and eight children survive him.  Before retiring from
active duty he was tax assessor of Lincoln Parish for 18 years.

Mr. and Mrs. Hightower had visited their son here Wednesday, and at the supper
table he died. 

Mrs. Irene Terral Watts, wife of T. N. Watts and daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Rastie Terral of this community, died Friday morning after a long illness
at her home at Bawcomville.

Funeral services were held by Rev. J. H. Keys at the Springhill Cemetery near
Jonesboro, Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. Watts is survived by her husband, three daughters, three sons, and one
brother, Baily B. Terral of Dodson.
