Joe Watts, 75, Dies; Burial At Transport Tues. W. Joe Watts, 75, of Arcadia, died in Baptist Hospital, Alexandria, Sunday, January 15, 1967, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church, Arcadia, with the Rev. Paul B. Williamson officiating, assisted by Deacon Loys N. Murphy. Burial was in Transport Cemetery, near Dodson. Mr. Watts was a retired pharmacist and was prominent in civic affairs of Arcadia. He was a board member of Arcadia Development Company, Inc., a past president of the Arcadia Lions Club, and a member of First Baptist Church and El Karubah Shrine Temple in Shreveport. He had been a resident of Arcadia for approximately 30 years. Survivors include his widow, the former Rose Terral of Dodson, one daughter, Mrs. Bruce Rader of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, John Watts of Jonesboro; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Rogers and Mrs. Alma Rockhold, both of Jonesboro, Mrs. Maggie Anderson of Minden, and Mrs. Hettie Grice of Merryville; and four grandchildren.
