A. Kiefer, Thursday, June 2nd at twelve o'clock after a serious illness of several months. Funeral services were held Friday, June 3rd at 12:30 o'clock at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church with the Rev. G. A. McVey in charge. A large number of friends and relatives were present to mourn her passing. Mrs. Waxley had been in ill health for five or six months and had gone to spend several weeks with her sister, when death called her home to the One who is able to give life or take life. Mrs. Waxley was a life long member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church, having joined this church when but a small girl. She was the oldest daughter of Mr. W. G. Dixon, was born and reared in Winn Parish, and was 27 years, 7 months, and 17 days of age. Mrs. Waxley leaves her husband, two children, father, and the following brothers and sisters to mourn her going: Mr. H. G. Dixon, Mr. O. H. Dixon, Mr. Tommy Dixon, Miss Omera Dixon, and Mrs. H. A. Kieffer, all of near Montgomery, and Mr. C. L. Dixon of Verda. In peace she came In love she went, Her life was asked But was not denied.
