Webb Dies Wednesday In Alexandria Ms. J. M. Webb, 84 years of age, died at her home in Alexandria Wednesday and was buried in the Atlanta Cemetery Thursday afternoon, April 1, 1937 at two o'clock. Mrs. Webb, a former resident of this parish, was a member of the Baptist church. The Webb family moved to the Atlanta Community about 50 years ago and have a large connection of relatives in this section. There are five generations of the family now living. For the past several years they have been residing in Alexandria. The deceased is survived by her husband, a former police juror and school board member and justice of the peace of Ward Six, Winn Parish. She also leaves five daughters, Mrs. J. B. Groves, Winnfield, Mrs. J. H. McElroy and Mrs. B. Gresham of Atlanta, Mrs. Pearl Sutton and Mrs. Effie Perryman of Alexandria. From: April 8, 1937 Winn Parish Enterprise Funeral Mrs. J. M. Webb Held At Atlanta, April 1st Funeral services for Mrs. J. M. Webb, 85, of 224 Casson Street, Alexandria, La., whose death occurred at 3 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 1937 were held at the Atlanta, La. church at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 1st. A short service was held at the home before the procession left for Atlanta, conducted by Rev. E. E. Colvin, pastor of the Cavalry Baptist Church, Alexandria, La. The Rev. Mr. Colvin was assisted at the services at Atlanta by W. T. Norman, Winnfield, La., former superintendent of schools and lifelong friend of the family. Music was furnished by a chorus from the Atlanta High School faculty and selected from the choirs of the Atlanta Baptist Church and Methodist Church. Active and honorary pallbearers, grandsons, and grandsons in law, were G. A. Gresham, Phillip Gresham, Carl Gresham, G. L. McElroy, and Dallas W. McElroy.
