Delton E. Weeks Dies; Rites At Yankee Springs

Delton E. Weeks, 68, of Goldonna died Wednesday, April 3, 1974 in a local
hospital after a short illness.  He was a logging contractor and Winn Parish
native.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Grace T. Weeks of Goldonna; three sons, Jerry Weeks
of Dallas, Texas, and Eugene and Ray Weeks of Goldonna; one daughter, Miss Karen
June Weeks of Goldonna; seven brothers, Belton Weeks, Soto Weeks, and Dennis
Weeks, all of Goldonna, Sidney Weeks of Longview, Texas, Roy Weeks of Angola,
Raymond Weeks of Baton Rouge, and Sadie Weeks of Calvin; two sisters, Mrs.
Dorothy Colvin of Minden and Mrs. Corine Dean of Goldonna, and five grandsons.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in Yankee Springs Baptist Church near
Calvin with Rev. W. L. Fussell, Rev. E. D. Morris, and Rev. Dean Hedrick
officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern
Funeral Home.  Masonic graveside rites were held.
