Elmer Weeks, 89, Dies After Brief Illness

Funeral services for Elmer Weeks, 69, of Goldonna, were held at 2 p.m. Friday
in the Yankee Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Glynn Griffin and W. L. Fussell
officiating.  Burial was in Yankee Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Weeks died Wednesday, October 11, 1972 at 9 p.m. at his residence
after a brief illness.

A native of Winn Parish, Mr. Weeks was a retired school bus driver.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lena Weeks of Goldonna; three sons, Douglas
Weeks and Evoynne Weeks, both of Goldonna, and Billy Wayne Weeks of Buna,
Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Violet Palmer of Buna, Texas and Mrs. Christine
Smith of Alexanderia; 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
