Mrs. Ed Weeks Of Ward Ten Buried At Yankee Springs

Wife of Parish School Board Member Dies Sunday Afternoon

Mrs. Ed Weeks, wife of the Ward Ten School Board member of this parish, sied
at her home near Goldonna Sunday afternoon following an illness of many
months.  Funeral services were conducted at the Yankee Springs Church Monday
afternoon, February 19, 1934, with the Rev. Cotton, Methodist minister of
Brewton, in charge.  Interment was in the Yankee Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Weeks was about seventy years of age.  Before her marriage she was a Miss
Peterson, a native of this parish and a member of a prominent family of Ward
Ten.

Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Elmer Weeks.

Among those from Winnfield attending the last rites were Superintendent and
Mrs. D. E. Sikes, A. Peterson.
