M. Weeks, 91, Dies; Burial At Yankee Springs Mr. Marshall M. Weeks, age 91, of Goldonna, died Thursday morning, February 3, 1972, at Winnfield General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held at Southern Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m. Friday with Rev. D. W. McDaniel and Rev. Kit Hathorn officiating. Interment was in Yankee Springs Cemetery with Rev. Bob Smith, pastor of Central Baptist Church, Baton Rouge, conducting the graveside services. Mr. Weeks, a retired farmer, married Miss Viola Gordon in 1905 and they made their home in the Yankee Springs Community near Goldonna, having lived in the same house from 1905 until January 12, 1967 when because of ill health, they had to leave their home and moved to the Autumn Leaves Nursing Home in Winnfield. Mr. and Mrs. Weeks observed their 66th wedding anniversary October 19, 1971 and he was the last survivor of the Edward Taylor Weeks. Mrs. Arma Weeks Mixson lives on her grandfather's place. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Viola Weeks; two daughters, Mrs. Arma Mixon of Goldonna and Mrs. Norma Moore, Baton Rouge; two sons, Taft Weeks, Minden, and Talmadge Weeks of Baton Rouge; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ted Weeks, Eddie Moore, Randy Moore, Alton Templet, great grandsons, Ray Weeks and Kenneth Weeks, great nephews.
