Mrs. J. M. Weeks Dies December 24

Mrs. J. M. Weeks of Winnfield, Route Three, succumbed at her home, December
24, 1942.  Funeral services were conducted the following day at the Yankee
Springs Church with the Rev. Rufus Kitchingham of Dodson in charge.  Interment
was in the Yankee Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Weeks was born near Goldonna in Winn Parish October 13, 1880, and had
lived in Winn all her life.  Before her marriage to J. M. Weeks, she was Miss
Willie Stewart.  Mrs. Weeks was a member of the Yankee Springs Church.

Surviving are her husband, J. M. Weeks of Route Three; one son, Amoh Weeks of
Alexandria; one daughter, Mrs. W. C. Carter of Winnfield; three grandchildren
of Winnfield; four sisters, Mrs. Jack Ross and Mrs. Henry Zimmerman of
Winnfield, Mrs. Edna Bryant of Shreveport, and Mrs. Zack Hodge of Calvin; and
one brother, R. D. Stewart of Goldonna.
