They were enroute to Bridgeport to spend the fourth of July holidays with their son, Phillip, and his wife and two daughters. Mrs. Thompson was informed of their deaths Saturday night. Their plane had been missing since Friday. According to reports the rented plane of the Weils crashed and burned on a farm about two miles west of Schenectady, N. Y. Deputies said a farmer told them he saw a flash Friday night, but decided it was too foggy to investigate. They quoted him as saying he searched the farm Saturday and found the wreckage and the bodies of Eugene P. Weil, 54, and his wife, Wallace, 51. The Weils were residents of Cleveland, Ohio. Mrs. Weil, the former Wallace McAnally, was born and reared at Winnfield. Mr. Weil was a radio station executive. They made their home in New Orleans for many years before going to Alabama and later to Ohio. Memorial services for Mr. and Mrs. Weil will be held in Bridgeport, Conn., Sunday, July 10. Mrs. Parker Thompson left Winnfield Wednesday afternoon to attend the last rites. The Weils are survived by their one son, Phillip, of Bridgeport and two granddaughters. Mrs. Weil leaves three sisters, Mrs. Thompson, her twin, of Winnfield; Mrs. Edith Patrick of McGhee, Ark., and Mrs. Madge McAnally Polly of California. Mr. Weil is survived by his mother, Mrs. Weil, and a brother, F. Weil, both of Birmingham, Ala.
