Jessie L. Welch, 43, Succumbs; Rites Held Jan. 2

Jessie Lee Welch, 43, died at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 1969 in a
Shreveport hospital following a lengthy illness.  He was a lifelong resident
of St. Maurice.

Survivors include six sisters, Mrs. Adeline Londadier of New Orleans, Mrs.
J. E. Jones, Mae Welch, and Mrs. Florence Edwards, all of St. Maurice; Mrs.
Nancy Little of Nederland, Texas; Mrs. Minnie Chelette of Mooringsport; five
brothers, George Welch and Lawrence Welch, both of St. Maurice; William Welch,
Jr., of Dallas; Ezan Welch and Stanley Welch, both of Shreveport; and a host
of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 2, at St. Maurice
Catholic Church.  Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of
Southern Funeral Home.
