Father of Area Resident Dies; Rites October 19

John D. Whatley, 74, died October 18, 1976 in Natchitoches Parish Hospital. He
was the father of W. J. Whatley of Dodson.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 19, at Hickory Grove Methodist
Church near Robeline, with Rev. J. D. McNeal officiating.  Interment was
in Pine Grove Cemetery near Hagewood.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Effie Whatley, two other sons, four
daughters, two sisters and 25 grandchildren.
