She was the 13th auto accident victim in the parish this year. Winn Sheriff R. S. Jordan said that Mrs. Wheat died instantly when she fell from the auto she was backing from the driveway at their home about two miles east of Hebron Church on the Sikes-Grayson road. She was pinned under the wheel. Jordan said that as Mrs. Wheat was backing the auto from the driveway onto the highway, she had the car door open. The vehicle rolled completely across the road and down the grade on the opposite side. Mrs. Wheat fell from the car and the left front wheel rolled over her chest. In the car with Mrs. Wheat at the time was Barbara Neal Tullos, Jordan said. Mrs. Wheat's husband is employed as a sawmill worker near Sikes. They are the parents of a seven month old child, William R. Wheat. She is the former Betty Moore of Grayson, Route 2. In addition to her husband and child, Mrs. Wheat is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nervie Moore of Grayson, Route 2; six brothers, Billy R., Don W., Roy L., Buddy P., Clarence M., and Nervie D. Moore, all of Grayson, Route 2; two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Varnell of Columbia and Miss Frances Moore of Grayson, Route 2. Funeral services were held at Hebron Church at 1 p.m. today (Thursday).
