Wheat, Former Winn Resident, Dies James Myra Wheat, 78, of Franklinton, La., a former resident of Winnfield, died June 4, 1972 at 7:40 p.m. in Beechman Memorial Hospital in Magnolia, Miss. A member of a Winnfield Masonic Lodge, Mr. Wheat was a Veteran of World War I and a member of the Roseland Baptist Church. Funeral services were held from the Zion Baptist Church at Georgetown on Tuesday with Rev. Miles Walsworth of Campti, officiating. Interment was in the Zion Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Pete (Elizabeth) Jones of Franklinton, La.; two sons, John H. Wheat of Garland, Texas, James M. Wheat of Midland, Texas, one sister, Mrs. J. R. Wilson of Georgetown, five grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
