Former Winn Resident Dies In Jonesboro

Mrs. Edith L. Wheat, 77, of Jonesboro, died Friday, September 22, 1972.

A native of Grant Parish, Mrs. Wheat resided in Winnfield for many years.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Jonesboro United
Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Tohline officiating.  Burial was in the
Jonesboro Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Ralph Wayne Wheat of Jonesboro; four sisters, mrs.
Lynn Hammonds of Dry Prong, Mrs. Jane Hart of West Monroe, Mrs. Mattie Melton
of Winnfield, and Mrs. Lawrence Quimbley of Washington, D. C.
