Joyce Native Dies In Dry Prong

Services for Raymond Whitehead of Bossier City were held at 11 a.m. Friday,
October 15, in Dry Prong Baptist Church with Revs. Jesse Smith and Harvey Webb
officiating.  Burial was in Moore Cemetery.

Whitehead, 52, died at 10 p.m. Sunday, October 10 in his residence.  A
native of Joyce, he was a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Faye Futrell Whitehead of Dry Prong; three
sons, Raymond D. Whitehead of Denver, John W. Whitehead of Natchitoches, and
Kenneth R. Whitehead of Dry Prong; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Hart of Colfax
and Mrs. Dianne Hunt of Dry Prong; four brothers, J. W. Whitehead, Edwin E.
Whitehead and Luther Whitehead, all of Bentley, and Clifford Whitehead of
Winnfield; one sister, Mrs. Lucille Dryer of Pollock and seven grandchildren.
