Mrs. Emma White, 82, of Near Sikes, Succumbs Monday

Rites Conducted At Hart Church, Burial In Wright Cemetery

Funeral services were held at the Hart Church near Sikes Tuesday afternoon at
3 p.m. for Mrs. Emma Elizabeth White, who died Monday at her home near Sikes
following a long illness.  Rites were conducted by the Reverends Emmons and
Upton, interment was in the Wright Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral
Home.

Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased, including Stacy, Delmer, Curtis,
Maxel, and Jack Smith and Wilford White.

Mrs. White is survived by two sons, Dewey White of Sikes and Nathan White of
Monroe; four daughters, Mrs. ______ Smith and Miss Carrie White of Sikes, Mrs.
Audie Banks of Columbia and Mrs. Claudie Sanford of Monroe; 12 grandchildren
and 18 great grandchildren.

Mrs. White's age was 82 years, seven months, and 17 days.
