A. M. White, 90, Dies; Burial Held At Verda

Andrew M. White, 90, of Jena, died early Saturday, May 22, 1971 in the LaSalle
General Hospital in Jena following a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Sunday in the East Jena Baptist Church
with the Rev. Mickey Bounds officiating.  Burial was in the Mars Hill Cemetery
near Verda.

Mr. White was a retired farmer and a member of the East Jena Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow of Jena; five sons, Elbert White, Louis White, and
E. C. White of Jena, Edwin White of Homer, and Archie White of San Angelo,
Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Eva Weaver of Lake Charles, Mrs. Virgie Ezell of
Jena, and Mrs. Clarice Gainey of Bay Minette, Ala.; 17 grandchildren, and 29
great grandchildren.
