White Funeral services for Chester O. White, 75, of Greenville, S. C., who died Nov. 3, 1977 were held in Gainsville, Georgia the following day. Survivors include one son, Chester O. White, Jr., two grandchildren, all of Gainsville, Ga.; a sister in law, Mrs. Clara Frazier Tyler of Winnfield, an uncle, Tate White of Winn Parish. The deceased was a member of a pioneer Winn Parish family who settled east of Packton around 1900. The family was connected with the Long and Wright families and was active in the settlement of Winn Parish especially Ward Nine. Mr. White was a graduate and a member of the Winnfield High School State Championship football team of 1919. He also graduated from the University of Arkansas where he was a football star. He spent his entire business career with a feed mill in Gainsville, Ga., and Greenville, S. C. He leaves many other relatives and friends in Winn Parish.
