Mrs. Whitehead, Mother Of Local Resident, Dies

Mrs. Celenia Arrington Whitehead, 77, of Bentley, died at 12:45 p.m.
Thursday, November 26, 1970, in a Shreveport hospital.

Survivors include five sons, J. N. Whitehead, Raymond Whitehead, Luther
Whitehead, of Dry Prong, Edwin E. Whitehead of Pineville, and Clifford D.
Whitehead of Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Dryden of Pollock; one
brother, John Arrington of Dry Prong; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Freeman
of Pollock and Mrs. Audrey Frazier of Bentley; 19 grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Dry Prong Baptist
Church.  Burial was in the Dry Prong cemetery under direction of Hixson
Bros., Alexandria.
