Funeral Services held For Lavelle White At Sikes Tuesday

Funeral services for Miss Lavelle White, 13 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
I. J. White of Sikes were held at the Sikes Church Tuesday afternoon at 2
o'clock.  Interment was in the Sikes Cemetery.  Lavelle, who had been ill for
several days at her home, was carried to a Shreveport sanitarium for
treatment.  She died Monday morning at 10:45 from a ruptured appendix.

Lavelle was an honor student in the Sikes High School.  Surviving are her
parents, a brother and a sister.
