J. C. White, 56, Merchant, Dies Tues., June 20

John Columbus White, Route 1, Dodson, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 1967 in
a local hospital after an illness of only five days.

Mr. White was 56 years of age and operated a store in the Hudson Community.

Funeral services will be conducted at New Hope Thursday at 11 a.m. with
Rev. Willie Broadway and Rev. Lester Carpenter officiating.  The body will
remain at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield until time for services.  Burial
will be in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, one son, Carl White of Montgomery, one daughter,
Mrs. Robert Saucier of Shreveport, one brother, Clayton White of Joyce.

Three sisters, Mrs. Raymond Day of Monroe, Mrs. Otis Holland of Atlanta, Mrs.
Ralph Frazier of Joyce, and three grandchildren also survive.
