Mother of Mrs. Melton Hightower Succumbs Dec. 3

Mrs. William E. White, 57, of Alexandria, mother of Mrs. Melton Hightower of
Winnfield, died Friday, Dec. 3, after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Kramer's Chapel
in Alexandria, interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery in Alexandria.

She is survived by her husband, William E. White; two children, Mrs. Melton
Hightower and Tom White, and three grandchildren.

Attending the funeral from Winnfield were Mrs. Willie Lasyone, Mrs. Kidd Farr,
Elsie Antley, Mr. and Mrs. Reggie Gates and daughter, Reggie Lou, Mrs. W. E.
LaCroix, Jack Watts, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Buchanan, Will Dean, Mr. and Mrs. L.
C. Shows, Mr. and Mrs. George Hightower, Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Brewton, Mr. and
Mrs. Sion Jenkins, Mrs. J. C. Brooks, Jr., Mrs. H. A. Porter, and C. C.
Taylor.
