All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: June 10, 1937 Winn Parish Enterprise Mrs. Virginia White, 84, Dies At Local Clinic Last Rites Were Conducted At Zion Church June 5th Death claimed Mrs. Virginia White, 84 years of age, at the Fittz-Faith Clinic early Friday morning, June 4, 1937, where she had been receiving care and treatment. Funeral services were conducted at Zion Church, 15 miles southeast of Winnfield, Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, assisted by the Rev. G. A. Morgan had charge of the services. Pallbearers were C. O. White, Don Smith, L. G. Allee, L. D. McConathy, Joe Frazier, and David Morris. Mrs. White was a native of Arcadia, La., moving to Winnfield seventeen years ago after the death of her husband. Before her marriage she was Miss Virginia Cathey. She made her home with her only daughter, the late Mrs. Pinkie Wright, who died several years ago. She was a charter member of the Winnfield Presbyterian Church. Surviving are four sons, C. A. White of Pineville; A. B. White of Greenville, S. C.; W. T. White of Shreveport; and W. F. White of Winnfield; two brothers, and one sister, Jim Cathey of Shreveport, Louis Cathey of Georgetown, and Mrs. Sue Davis of West Monroe.
