Mrs. G. H. White of Georgetown Succumbs Dec. 25

Mrs. G. H. White, former Sardis resident, succumbed from a lengthy illness
Thursday, Dec. 25, at her home in Georgetown, La.

Mrs. White was born near Packton, La., Dec. 27, 1900.  She joined the Sardis
Baptist Church at the age of 13 and at the time of her death was a member of
this church.

Surviving her besides her husband are five children, Gaston England, Bonna
Faye, Stanley, Sue Frances, and Betty Lynn White; her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
R. E. Mathews, Sr., of Sardis; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Smith and Mrs.
Alvin Dickerson, of Winnfield; and one brother, R. E. Mathews, Jr., of West
Monroe.
