Wilkinson Dies At Daughter's Home Friday 27th Mrs. Delia Marie Wilkinson, years of age, died at home of her daughter, Mrs. Virgil Crippen, Friday, June 27, after an illness of three months. Mrs. Wilkinson was born at Fayetteville, Ala., October 26, 1870. At the age of 18 she married George Porter. Of this union two children were born, Connie and Hattie. After the death of Mr. Porter, she moved to Texas where she married A. B. Wilkinson in 1900. One child was born to this union, Estelle. Mr. Wilkinson died Nov. 19, 1926. After his death she moved to Winnfield where she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Virgil Crippen, until her death Friday. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at four o'clock at the First Baptist Church. Rev. A. H. Cullen assisted by Rev. Alwin Stokes, conducted the services. Interment was made in the Winnfield cemetery. Mrs. Wilkinson is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Virgil Crippen, Winnfield, Mrs. Frank Crippen, Farmerville, and Mrs. John Bishop, Dermott, Ark. Davies Date: 20 June 2004 Source: Winn News American January 6, 1939 Mother of Miss Winchell Dies in Chicago Friday Miss Margaret Winchell, member of the Tri-Parish library staff, was called to her home at Roanoke, La., Saturday morning on account of the sudden death of her mother. Mrs. Winchell died in Chicago Friday while on a visit there. Funeral services for the deceased were held Sunday. Miss Winchell was accompanied by Al Hoke to Roanoke. Mr. Hoke returned Sunday and she is expected to arrive here sometime the last of this week. ======
