Funeral Services For Mother of Local Women Held

Mrs. Lena Wilhite, 76, died early Tuesday morning at her home on White's Ferry
Road, West Monroe.   The funeral was held in the Hall Funeral Chapel,
Wednesday, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Dean, Good Hope Baptist Church pastor,
officiating.

Surviving Mrs. Wilhite are six daughters, Mrs. Preston McKeen, of West Monroe,
Mrs. Ray Seabaugh, of Winnfield, Mrs. Paul Stapleton, of West Monroe, Mrs. Ira
Gates, of Farmerville, Mrs. S. K. Flanagan, of Monroe, Mrs. Irene Dalton, of
Shreveport; three sons, Jim, Jack, and Carl J. Wilhite, of Newellton, La.; an
done sister, Mrs. Gust Bartz, Odessa, Texas.  She also leaves 32 grandchildren
and 19 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Charles Albright, Houston Free, W. W. Mederice, Mase Bayles,
W. W. Bayles, and Charlie Shea.
