Services were held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Rose-Neath Chapel with the Rev. Gerald D. Trussell, pastor of Southside Church, officiating. Burial followed in Centuries Park Cemetery. Mr. Willis, a native of Sikes, was a retired painter and had been a resident of Shreveport for the past 40 years. He was a member of South Side Baptist Church, Painters Local No. 485, and Cedar Grove American Legion Post 6. He is survived by his widow; one son, James M. Willis of Las Vegas, Nev.; one daughter, Mrs. J. H. Culpepper of Shreveport; six brothers, James of Longview, Tex., Lloyd of Baton Rouge, P. J. of Bossier City, S. J. and Jack Willis of Shreveport, and E. M. Stringer of Monroe; three sisters, Mrs. T. D. Hunter of Mountain Home, Ark., Mrs. Alpha Kidd of Woodstock, Ill., and Mrs. N. D. Fordham of Winnfield.
