Lynn Mitchell, Associate Pastor of the Willow Point Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. He died at 1:25 p.m. Sunday, December 21, at Virginia Hall Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Mr. Willis, born in Sikes, La., in Winn parish, was a brother of the late Ernest Willis of Sikes. He was a resident of Shreveport since 1923 and was employed as a carrier for the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the Willow Point Baptist Church. He was a gold card member of The National Letter Carriers. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary W. Willis, Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Syble Hatcher, Shreveport; one son, Mrs. Max Willis, Haynesville; two sisters, Mrs. Alpha Kidd, Shreveport and Mrs. Myrtle Hunter, Ft. Worth, Tx.; three brothers, Mr. Sam Willis, Shreveport, Mr. Lloyd Willis, Baton Rouge, and Mr. James Willis, Longview, Tx. and five grandsons.
