Jack Willis

Services for Jack Willis, 81, of Shreveport were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday,
December 23, at the chapel of Osborn Funeral Home, Rev. Lynn Mitchell,
Associate Pastor of the Willow Point Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial was
in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery.

He died at 1:25 p.m. Sunday, December 21, at Virginia Hall Nursing Home after
a lengthy illness.

Mr. Willis, born in Sikes, La., in Winn parish, was a brother of the late
Ernest Willis of Sikes.  He was a resident of Shreveport since 1923 and was
employed as a carrier for the United States Postal Service.  He was a member
of the Willow Point Baptist Church.  He was a gold card member of The
National Letter Carriers.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary W. Willis, Shreveport; one daughter,
Mrs. Syble Hatcher, Shreveport; one son, Mrs. Max Willis, Haynesville; two
sisters, Mrs. Alpha Kidd, Shreveport and Mrs. Myrtle Hunter, Ft. Worth, Tx.;
three brothers, Mr. Sam Willis, Shreveport, Mr. Lloyd Willis, Baton Rouge, and
Mr. James Willis, Longview, Tx. and five grandsons.
