Willis, 66, Succumbs; Rites Tuesday Funeral services for Mrs. Louise C. Willis, 66, of Winnfield, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Chapel here with the Rev. Calvin Phelps officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield. Mrs. Willis died Sunday, June 12, 1977 in a local hospital after a brief illness. Widow of Welby Willis, she was a native of Lincoln Parish, a member of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield and the Palestine Chapter No. 55, Order of Eastern Star in Winnfield and was past Mother Advisor of the Rainbow Girls of Winnfield. Survivors include three sons, Jerry Willis and James Willis, both of Baton Rouge, and Tommy Willis of Nacogdoches, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Buxton of Pitkin and Mrs. Julia Ann Romino of Vicksburg, Miss., and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jack Henderson, Kirby Malloy, Glenn Smith, James Watts, Harvey Turner, and Herman Bass.
