Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 1984, in the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, with Dr. Sidney R. Young officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery under direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove. Mrs. Willis was a native of Winn Parish, but had lived in West Carroll Parish since 1933. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, a retired school teacher, teaching in both the Kilbourne and Oak Grove schools. She was a graduate of Louisiana Tech and Mississippi College. Survivors include her husband, L. H. Willis of Oak Grove; one son, William L. Willis of Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs. Valerie Kimbell of Tallulah; and four grandchildren, Larry and Laura Willis of Winnfield, Kim Kimbell of Baton Rouge and Candice Kimbell Warren of Minden. Pallbearers were Donald Ray Hurley, Tom Pollard, Gary Bennett, Mac Allbritton, Billy Turner, Ricky Tanner, Steve Cox, Tom David Walters, and Kenny Nix. Those attending services from Winnfield were Mr. and Mrs. James F. Bennett, Mrs. Elaine Martin, Mrs. Jane Lafollette, Stanley J. Smith, Mrs. Martha Jordan, and Mrs. Johnnie Louise Porter.
