Funeral Services For A. Wilkerson Held Last Sunday

Arthur A. Wilkerson, 49, of Calvin, died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, September 6,
1946, at a hospital in New Orleans after an illness of eleven years.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Calvin Baptist Church with the
Rev. F. M. York in charge.  Burial was in the Goldonna Cemetery.

Mr. Wilkerson was born at Farmerville, La., March 8. 1897, the son of Mr. and
Mrs. J. L. Wilkerson of Farmerville.  He was a welder by trade.

Mr. Wilkerson lived with his brother in Calvin for some time before his death.

He is survived by two sisters, Lorene Wilkerson and Mrs. H. H. Vinson of
Houston, Texas; one brother, C. V. Wilkerson of Calvin, and two nephews, Billy
Marvin Wilkerson and Ray Vinson of Houston.
