Katie S. Wilson, 87, Dies August 24 In Urania

Katie Stringer Wilson, age 87, born March 30, 1880, died August 24, 1967, at
9:15 in Hardtner Memorial Hospital, Urania, after a long illness.

She is survived by one son, Daniel M. Wilson of Tullos; three daughters, Edith
Loflin of Tullos, Bertha McCartney of Winnfield, and Thelma Hallmark of
Urania; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and a number
of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held in First Baptist Church in Tullos with Rev. Coda
Salter and Rev. A. B. Connor officiating.  Interment was in the Magnolia
Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.

Pallbearers were James McCartney, D. B. Sanders, Johny McAdams, Jimmy Barton,
Sam Lindsey, and Derwood Hallmark.
