G. W. Wilkerson Is Claimed By Death On Sunday

George W. Wilkerson, 83, was claimed by death on Sunday morning, November 29,
at 7:10 o'clock, following a sudden stroke on November 25.  Death came at
the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. F. Harrington, at Jonesboro.  Funeral
services were held on Monday at New Hope with the Rev. J. W. Buckner,
Jonesboro, officiating.  Burial was made in the New Hope Cemetery under the
direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Cortez Huckaby, Wayne Wilkerson, and grandsons, Harlan
Wilkerson, Rufus Wilkerson, James Harrington, and Glyn Wilkerson.

Mr. Wilkerson is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. F. Harrington of
Jonesboro, and Mrs. Irma Thornton of Houston, Tex.; three sons, John, Lige,
and Willis Wilkerson, all of Joyce; twenty-one grandchildren, and eight great
grandchildren.
