Late News Flash

Winnfield Negro Drowned At Dam


Joseph Williams, 21 year old Winnfield Negro, drowned at Chivalry Dam in
Natchitoches Parish, today.  He lived in the Brooks Quarters.

According to a radio report from the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office to
the Winn Parish Sheriff's Office, Williams died at about 3:30 p.m.

No details were available, but it was believed he was fishing when the
drowning occurred.
