Davies gedavies@winnfield.net March 30, 2008, 1:27 pm November 12 1912 Dodson Times AGED LADY WITH THE DEAD "Grandma" Williamson, mother of Mrs. J. J. Stovall and Mrs. I. M. Brown of this place, died Tuesday evening of this week at the home of the former, having been sick for a long time, at the advanced age of almost 88 years. Mrs. Williamson was the mother of nine children - six girls and 3 boys. She is survived by all of the six girls, but the last of her three sons died several years ago. She was born in Covington Parish, this State, in February of 1825 and would have been 88 years old had she lived until next February. "Grandma" Williamson, as she was generally known, was a true and loyal type of the Southern lady and her friends were only limited by her acquaintance. She was a member of the M.E. Church, South, and as long as she was able to attend church services was an active member. Her body was laid to rest Wednesday between those of her two sons, Tom and Bob, at Old Transport, the funeral services having been conducted by Rev. O. L. Tucker of Jonesboro. The sorrowing family have the sympathies of The Dodson Times.
