Wilson, age 54 years, died at her home near Calvin Sunday, October 17th, after a long illness. Mrs. Wilson has lived in Winn Parish all her life, her girlhood being spent in the Cypress Creek community, and after her marriage to B. E. Wilson moved near Calvin where they have resided ever since. She was a consistent member of the Baptist Church being faithful in her Christian duties, she cast an influence in her community that was far reaching in its good effects. She died as she lived, firm in the faith that "whosoever believeth should not perish but have everlasting life." Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon following her death, with interment in the Cypress Creek Cemetery. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, B. E. Wilson, five brothers, A. E., G. A., and W. R. Chandler of Calvin, J. L. Chandler of Cypress Creek and H. L. Chandler of Winnfield; four sisters, Mesdames C. D. Carter, J. M. Carpenter, and N. F. Fanning of Calvin, and Mrs. Meredith Blake of Corsicana, Texas.
