Wilson Killed May 23, Kingsville, Texas Winnfield Relatives Learn of Death Last Week, Visit Burial Place W. W. Wilson, former Winnfieldian, was killed in Kingsville, Texas, May 23rd, while riding on the fender of a car, which collided with a light truck. Wilson was employed by a packing house in Kingsville, packing vegetables. He was in company with several other workers enroute to Corpus Christi. Wilson's body was held by the undertaker until May 27th in an attempt to locate relatives. This proved futile and interment was made in a private lot in the Chamberlain Burial Park, Kingsville, Texas, May 27. Last week, brothers of the dead man were located here by Kingsville authorities, who were informed by the War Department of Wilson's home. Wilson was well known in Winn Parish, having been engaged in B. Y. P. U. and church work, and having been reared in this community. Brothers of the deceased, Henry, of Winnfield, and Alford, of Jonesboro, and a nephew, Jesse Simmons, made a trip to Kingsville last week where they visited his grave. Besides the above brothers, the deceased is survived by another brother, Jerry, of Winnfield, and a sister, Mrs. Ed Simmons, of Natchitoches.
