Mrs. Wise Rites Wed., Hurricane Church At Sikes

Mrs. Dorothy Geneva Wise, 44, of Route 1, Dodson, died at 3 a.m. April 15, in
Winnfield General Hospital, following a short illness.  Mrs. Wise was born in
Joyce and was a member of the Hurricane Baptist Church.

Funeral services were 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, at Hurricane Grove Church in
Sikes, Rev. Edward Smith officiating.  Interment was in Hurricane Cemetery
under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wise is survived by her husband, J. B. Wise of Dodson; six sons, James D.
Wise, John R. Wise, Gary Lynn Wise, Terry Lane Wise, Jackie Dale Wise, Randy
Wise, all of Dodson; five daughters, Mrs. W. J. Smiley, Dodson; Mrs. Marlin
Taylor, LaPort, Texas; Miss Shelia Wise, Dodson; Miss Sandy Wise, Dodson; Miss
Donna Sue Wise, Dodson; her mother, Mrs. Jettie Harper of Dodson; one brother,
Howard Harper, Sikes; one sister, Mrs. Paul Thomas, Winnfield; also her
maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ella Gates, Dodson, and four grandchildren.
