All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: July 11, 1952 Winnfield News-American Mrs. Sarah White Dies In Bastrop Hospital July 9 Death Preceded By Passing Of Husband By Less Than 2 Months Mrs. Sarah Adams White, 72, of Sikes, died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 1952 in a Bastrop hospital after an illness of only several days. Funeral services were conducted at the Ridge Avenue Baptist Church in West Monroe at 11 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. A. T. Mitchell, pastor, assisted by Rev. H. J. Mott, pastor of Laurel Heights Baptist Church of Winnfield and the Rev. Morris of Bastrop. Interment was in Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe. Mrs. White was the widow of the late Crozier White, who died less than two months ago on May 27 after suffering a heart attack in the Sikes Cemetery. He was buried on May 29 in West Monroe. Both were born and reared near Sikes and until a few years ago were residents of Winnfield. Survivors include two sons, Marshall C. White and Archie White of West Monroe, and three daughters, Mrs. J. F. Smith of Monroe, Mrs. E. T. Anderson of Bastrop, and Mrs. Woodrow Wilson of Winnfield.
