White of Dodson Dies Wednesday, 1st Funeral Services Were Conducted At Jonesboro Thursday Mrs. D. W. White, 67 years, of Dodson, died in the Hodge sanitarium at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 1936, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Jonesboro Baptist Church, the Rev. John L. Dodge, pastor, and the Rev. B. C. Land, pastor Winnfield Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was made in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Mrs. White was before her marriage, Mary L. Thompson of the Sikes community. She is survived by the widower, D. W. White, Dodson; two sons, E. H. White, Oil City, Miller White, Gladewater, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. John H. Amy, Silver City, New Mexico; Mrs. Ott Milam, Tullos, La.; Mrs. Fred L. Redd, Mooringsport, and 19 grandchildren. Surviving are also three brothers, Charles Thompson, Jesse Thompson, and Robert Thompson, of Sikes, and three sisters, Mrs. Julia Smith and Mrs. Oscar Shell, Sikes, and Mrs. R. S. Kennedy of Breckenridge, Texas.
