Funeral Services For Mother Of Local Principal

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Walker, 72, mother of W. D. Walker of
Winnfield, were held Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Ebenezer Church in Jackson Parish. 
She died Monday afternoon in a local hospital following a heart stroke.  She
had been in ill health for some time.

Rev. Aaron Gorham officiated the funeral, assisted by Rev. D. W. McDaniel. 
Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home in
Jonesboro.

Pallbearers, all nephews of Mrs. Walker, were Carroll Holland, Buster Tullos,
Woodrow Tullos, Byron Frazier, Walter Maxwell, and Dawson Barr.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse Walker of Wyatt, two daughters, Mrs.
Willie Frazier of Shreveport and Mrs. S. ?. Tullos of Jonesboro; three sons,
C. E. Walker of Tallulah, L. E. Walker of Rayville, and W. D. Walker of
Winnfield; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and four sisters,
Mrs. Angie Holland, Alexandria, Mrs. Ella Greer, Monroe, Mrs. Vinson Tullos,
Calhoun, and Mrs. Josie Thompson.
