All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: May 3, 1934 Winn Parish Enterprise Lory Wilkinson Dies Suddenly At Home of Aunt Former Resident is Son of Dr. Wilkinson of Atlanta Lory Wilkinson, age 26, who died suddenly Monday afternoon at the home of his aunt, Mrs. D. S. Mathis at Montgomery, was buried in the Colfax Cemetery Tuesday afternoon after funeral services at the Colfax Methodist Church. The deceased was the son of Dr. and Mrs. Wilkinson, former residents of Atlanta. Mr. Wilkinson, who was married about a month ago in Winnfield to a Miss Duritt, was a resident of Colfax, where he lived with his mother, Dr. Wilkinson, his father, having died about two years ago. He had come to Montgomery on a business trip, was suddenly taken ill, and succumbed within a few hours at the home of his aunt. He was a junior at L. S. U. although ill health had forced him to abandon his studies about two years ago. In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by two aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Mathis, of Montgomery, and Mr. J. C. Stevens, principal of the Wheeling school, and one aunt, Miss Flora Stevens, an employee of the local ERA office.
