Robert J. Walker Dies Suddenly at Veterans Hospital

Robert J. Walker, 47 years of age, who died suddenly at the Veterans Hospital,
Alexandria, was buried Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Transport, Jackson Parish.  Rev.
C. J. White of Hodge and the Masonic fraternity officiated.  Mr. Walker was a
member of the M. E. Church.  He was a prominent resident of Alexandria and was
with the Interurban Transportation Co.

The deceased is survived by his wife and a son and a daughter of Alexandria;
his father, E. Walker; two sisters, Mrs. J. M. Gaar and Mrs. Iver W. Peters of
Dodson; two brothers, W. G. Walker and Morgan W. Walker of Alexandria, and a
host of other relatives to mourn his death.  His death occurred, it was
stated, from a heart attack.  Mr. Walker was a 33rd Degree Mason and highly
esteemed resident of Alexandria.
