J. Walker, Jackson Parish Resident Funeral services were held at the Ebenezer Baptist Church for J. J. Walker, a life long resident of the Walker Community in Jackson Parish, December 1, at 3 p.m. Mr. Walker died at his home November 30, 1951, after a long illness. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. D. W. McDaniel, pastor of the Walker Baptist Church of which he was a member, with interment in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Survivors are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Creighton Cathey of Jonesboro and Mrs. Hilma Hammett and one son, Weldon Reed Walker in the Army stationed in Alabama. Two brothers, N. F. and W. T. Walker of Wyatt, five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. He was the uncle of G. H. Walker of Calvina and C. H. Crain of Sikes. Acting as pallbearers were Pyburn Walker, Hayron Walker, Herbert Walker, Luther Walker, I. G. Johnson, and Alon Dark.
