S. Wilson Claimed by Death February 7th Mrs. Sidney S. Wilson, 87 years, 11 months, and 20 days of age, was claimed by death Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. O. Pray, in Winnfield. The deceased was Miss Elsie Elizabeth Martin before her marriage to Sidney Scott Wilson. She was born in Amite County, Miss., February 16, 1856 and at the age of eighteen she was married. To this union was born eight children, three of whom have proceeded her in death. Three years ago her husband passed away. They were among the early pioneers of Winn Parish. Grandmother Wilson united with the Baptist Church at an early age and has been a faithful member for about seventy years. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson had eight children, five girls and three boys; fifty grandchildren, fifty-one great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren. The funeral services were held at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church February 7th at 2 o'clock in the afternoon with Rev. A. J. McMurry, assisted by the pastor, Rev. J. O. Payne, officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Surviving are her five children: Mrs. W. D. Pray, Sr., Liberty, Miss.; Joe Wilson, Zenoria, La.; and Mrs. D. O. Pray, Sr., Ms. J. R. Maloy, and Sidney Wilson, all of Winnfield, La., and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren. The pallbearers were her grandsons, Wilber Prescott, Delos Prescott, Scewel Maloy, Bill Maloy, Curtis Wilson, and Woodie Wilson.
