All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: May 8, 1930 Winn Parish Enterprise Herman Walters Dies From Injuries Received In Wreck Funeral Services Held At the First Baptist Church Thursday Afternoon Herman Walters of Winnfield died Wednesday morning in Veterans Hospital, Alexandria, from injuries received in a car wreck Tuesday afternoon. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church, Thursday afternoon, two o'clock. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery. As a result of a car wreck on the Atlanta road, both legs of Mr. Walters were broken and he received internal injuries which caused his death. Walters, in company with a man named Clark attempted to pass a car when their machine crashed into a ditch. The deceased is survived by his mother, Mrs. Walters and sister, Mrs. Bob King of El Dorado, Ark., a sister, Mrs. Hogg of Leesville, and one brother, Carey Walters of Dodson, and a number of relatives in Winn Parish.
